Mrs. Bilalis goals:
1. To create a comfortable learning environment for students by
a. communicating clear, realistic expectations to my students.
b. encouraging students to keep a notebook that reflects daily lessons and assignments.
c. encouraging students to come to class prepared.
2. To prepare students so that they will progress to the next level of language learning by
a. creating level-appropriate lessons which address the domains of reading,writing, listening and speaking in interpretive, interpersonal and presentational modes.
b. verifying homework daily so as to create a dialogue between teacher and student and monitor student progress.
c. offering my website as a learning resource.
d. making myself available to my students for extra-help.
e. communicating with parents when necessary.
Mrs. Bilalis Grading Procedures:
AP French Language and Culture: In this course, class participation is crucial to the development of reading, writing, listening and speaking in the interpersonal and presentational modes. As a result, grades are calculated as follows.
Students are encouraged to participate daily by asking and answering questions that demonstrated that they are keeping up with assignments and deepening their understanding of the themes covered in class.
Spanish 5H, French 4H, French 2, French 1
Grades are calculated as follows:
Class Participation grades are given at the end of each marking period and represent performance reflected throughout the period. Homework is checked and reviewed every day. Students will be penalized each time that their assignment is not completed and presented in class when reviewed.
